The Project

Renovation of a Victorian terrace in Plymouth, Devon.

Sadly, this property had been neglected over many years, and several of its original features had been removed.  RMS Property Solutions was engaged to undertake a complete renovation for our client, which involved our replacing electrics and plumbing, including an old 1970’s fire and back boiler, and the reinstallation of a Victorian staircase (spindles, handrail and extended treads).  This was a sympathetic renovation but with a contemporary feel, evidenced by the stylish kitchen which encompassed a Juliet Balcony, a utility space and a cloakroom, which met modern day expectations.  The property was taken back to brick and re-plastered throughout, with as many original features, including a beautiful ceiling rose, cornicing, and picture rails being retained.
